Grilled steak, veggies, and homestyle cheddar 

You really can’t go wrong with this Grainful recipe. Steak, veggies AND Homestyle Cheddar? Have your family begging for seconds after you serve up this healthy anytime meal.

  • 1.5 lbs. NY Strip Steak
  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 4 plum tomatoes, cut in half length wise
  • Garlic and herb steak rub of your choosing
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper    
  • Homestyle Cheddar


  1. Season the steak with the rub.      
  2. Clean grill thoroughly and wipe grill grates using a paper towel dipped in olive oil.  This will keep the protein from sticking and tearing when you flip it.
  3. Preheat the grill after cleaning.
  4. Toss asparagus and tomatoes in olive oil and season well with salt and pepper.    

Cooking Instructions:    

  1. Prepare Homestyle Cheddar following the recipe on the bag. 
  2. Be sure your grill is nice and hot before you put the steak down.  
  3. While the oats are cooking, grill steak to desired internal temperature and set aside for resting (meat needs to rest after grilling so it has a chance to lock in the juices before you slice it).
  4. While the meat is resting, grill the asparagus and tomatoes skin side down.  Tomatoes just need some charring on the skin side and season again with salt and pepper if you desire.
  5. Place Homestyle Cheddar, steak, asparagus and tomatoes on a plate and enjoy!

BROCCOLI and SUN-DRIED tomato Homestyle Cheddar

Whether you are an oat-novice or put oats in everything, this dish made with Homestyle Cheddar is sure to please. Great for an entrée or side-dish, this recipe is quick-and-easy but doesn’t sacrifice that amazing oat texture and cheesy taste!

  • 1 ½ cups frozen broccoli florets
  • ¾ cup sun-dried tomatoes in a bag (not in oil), julienned
  • Homestyle Cheddar


  1. Prepare Homestyle Cheddar as instructed on the bag.
  2. Right after you add the cheese powder, add the broccoli and tomatoes.
  3. Cook until the vegetables are heated through.
  4. Serve in a bowl and dig in!
