Grainful® Accepted into Cohort Two of the Chobani Food Incubator

ITHACA, N.Y. – September 26, 2017 – Grainful, an Ithaca, New York based company that is disrupting the grocery store with innovative, globally inspired products with grains as the foundation and authentic, real ingredients announced that it has been chosen as a member of the Chobani Food Incubator Fall 2017 program.

The Chobani Food Incubator was launched in 2016 to support food entrepreneurs aiming to challenge the food industry, improve broken systems and bring better food to more people. The program will include meetings at Chobani’s offices and their manufacturing plants. Grainful will receive a grant to help grow the business, plus support from Chobani teams, executives and mentors.

“We are excited to announce our acceptance into the second cohort of the Chobani Food Incubator, as the Incubator’s mission of “Good Food for All” is highly aligned with Grainful’s mission,” said Jan Pajerski, Grainful’s co-founder and president. “The opportunity to be mentored by Hamdi and his team will be a one-of-a-kind experience, and it is an honor to have been chosen out of the 500+ companies who applied."

As a company that is focused on creating great tasting, affordable, nutritious offerings with grains as the foundation, Grainful believes in and wholeheartedly supports Chobani’s goals for this program. Born out of a passion for bringing real, clean food to the table in a convenient way, Grainful has grown into a staple in homes and at office desks all over the country. They take the kind of food you’d create in your own kitchen and bring it to you in simply made, simply prepared, and simply enjoyable offerings.

Grainful launched around a line of savory oat-based frozen entrees including Tuscan Bean & Kale, Unstuffed Pepper, Vegetarian Chili, and Porcini Mushroom Chicken, among others. In 2016, Grainful added a shelf-stable meal kit product line for the speed-scratch market (30 minutes or less) that was asking for efficiency yet providing room for cooking creativity. All of Grainful’s products are lovingly crafted and prepared in small kettles to lock in the freshness of global flavors and better-for-you ingredients to deliver high quality, great tasting, nutritious convenient offerings. Because Grainful believes all people should be able to eat well, they’ve developed offerings leveraging the nutritional benefits of grains as a great platform to achieve this mission.

“At Grainful, we are focused on creating great tasting, affordable, nutrient dense offerings with grains at the foundation, bringing affordable nutrition to consumers everywhere,” said Pajerski. “We look forward to collaborating with Chobani and our fellow participants, including sharing what we’ve learned on our journey and learning from others.”

Grainful products are available online at the Grainful online store and, as well as at leading retailers across the nation including Wegmans, ShopRite, Safeway, HEB and Whole Foods.
